We are a forested private conservation area which includes
botanical gardens & a small farm.
Our project is situated on 9.5 hectares located on the
Caribbean side of Costa Rica.
Throughout the past 10 years we have lived
in harmony with this fragile environment.
During that time we have gradually come to better
understand the importance of true conservation.
Our appreciation for the complexities of biodiversity
increases with each passing day.
More recently, we have come to realize the dire need
for public education regarding the interconnected
nature of the flora & fauna here.
The recent increase in humans migrating to this zone
has caused substantial loss
of native flora & animal habitat.
That factor is just one of many that has increased
the need for competent and caring
individuals to protect this natural world.
Our hope is that by imparting our wisdom
and sharing our land with others,
we will help to create loving stewards of the future.
Our Value Statement:
We believe that understanding nature
leads to understanding creation.
We must cherish, honor,
and protect it
so that others may truly see.
A 55 year old retired firefighter & paramedic. She was a firefighter for 12 years before retiring from service due to injury. Her duties at Finca Dinamica include everything and organizing everything else. She has received extensive managerial skills in her ownership of two corporations. Her second corporation was a successful 10 year joint venture with her husband. She prefers working hard labor outdoors to working at a computer in the office. She has exceptional organizational skills & a positive attitude. Her extreme care & ability to connect with nature is critical in our conservation projects. Michelle has a deep appreciation for tthe complexities of the natural world & strives daily for better understanding of it all. Her goal is to create a place where she can share that knowledge with others.
A 72 year old retired firefighter & paramedic. He spent 30 years in service of others & now spends his time building his wife's dream home. His duties at FInca Dinamica include
everything. Before he was a firefighter he gained much experience in farming & ranching, mechanics and construction. His skills are vital to our success. He has strong work ethics & excels at imagining innovative projects. Jimmie understands the importance of our conservation projects & works extremely hard to support them. His goal is to get our construction projects to completion so that he may pursue the creation of his inventions.
A 17 year old cat who was lost in a hurricane when she was just a few weeks old. She has been a faithful companion to her rescuers every since. Her duties include cuteness, moral support, & house patrol. She has an impeccable sense of smell & keen eyesight which she uses to alert us to visitors. Although she spent many years outdoors in less fragile environments, she has adjusted well to being a house cat in the jungle. Boom Boom is aware of the negative effects that domestic animals can have upon the natural world. She is now content to sleep all afternoon & hope for the occasional lizard that enters her domain.
How can you help?
Our activities of conservation & education are done completely
on a not for profit basis.
Every project that we have built or enacted has been funded
solely by our social security payment and savings.
We have reached a point where we must get things done faster
and that requires help.
We are currently campaigning to raise funds to pay for labor.
This may be our most difficult task, as we have had little time
to build a social media presence.
We have been very busy building and learning.
Please help in any way you can.
